No agenda. No pitches. Just guitars, fried chicken, and the kind of connections that remind you why community matters. This is what went down at KubeJam Atlanta during KubeCon.

Executive Summary

After a long few days at KubeCon, we came together on November 12 for an evening with no agenda, no demos, and no pitches. Just live music, Southern comfort food, and the kind of real connection that makes you remember why we show up to these events in the first place.

Coming together through music

What makes KubeJam so special is that there's no setlist or rehearsals. Folks from the community just hopped on stage, picked up an instrument, and made something together on the spot. The same engineers who spend their days solving production issues turned into guitarists, drummers, and some seriously impressive vocalists!

The real magic was seeing people with shared interests come together and jam.

Good food and conversations

Between sets, everyone dug into a Southern-style buffet: crispy fried chicken, buttery shrimp, and collard greens that proved why Atlanta's food scene is legendary. The open bar was a nice bonus, too!

But honestly, the best part is that conversations didn't start with, "So, what does your product do?" It started with an instrument of interest, and a song of choice!

Building community

After days packed with shop-talk, KubeJam reminded us of something important. Behind every commit, every PR review, and every late-night production fire drill, there's a real person with stories, talents, and maybe even a secret knack for shredding on the guitar.

This is what we mean when we say community-first. At Testkube, we know the strongest connections don't happen in vendor booths. They happen in moments like this, when everyone can just show up as themselves.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to our partners who made this possible (including Google, celebrating GKE's 10-year anniversary), and to every brave soul who took the mic or picked up an instrument.

Until next time...

KubeJam will be back in Amsterdam during KubeCon Europe, so it's never too early to start practicing. Same community, same energy, more music to come!
